Privacy Ledger & Data Policies
Effective Date: April 2024
At Arinan International Law Firm, confidentiality is not merely a policy; it is the cornerstone of our profession. This Privacy Ledger outlines how we collect, process, and protect your personal and corporate data in compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law (KVKK), and other applicable international data privacy standards.
1. Data Collection & Sovereignty
We collect only the information strictly necessary to provide elite legal counsel. This includes, but is not limited to: identity verification documents, financial corporate data during M&A due diligence, and direct communications. All data is localized on highly secure, encrypted sovereign servers tailored for legal privilege.
2. Attorney-Client Privilege
Any information shared with our attorneys for the purpose of seeking legal advice is protected by attorney-client privilege. Submitting an inquiry through our digital portals does not automatically establish this relationship until a formal Letter of Engagement is executed. However, preliminary data remains strictly confidential.
3. Third-Party Arbitration & Transfers
We do not sell, rent, or monetize client data under any circumstances. Data may only be shared with third-party technical vendors (e.g., Secure Video Conferencing infrastructure for online consultations) under strict Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs) that mandate equivalent or superior data protection standards.
4. User Rights & Digital Eradication
Clients retain the right to:
- Access the data profile we hold.
- Demand rectification of inaccurate records.
- Request absolute deletion ("The Right to be Forgotten"), subject to statutory data retention laws pertaining to legal and financial records.
5. Governance Inquiries
For matters pertaining to data compliance, legal frameworks, or to initiate a formal data deletion protocol, please contact our Data Protection Officer at: compliance@arinan.com.
